Dean Carucci Joins BILH as Divisional President, Community Division
Cambridge, MA – Today, Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) announced that Dean Carucci, MBA, has joined BILH as Divisional President, Community Division. In this role, Carucci will be responsible for overseeing the vision, strategy and performance of BILH’s community hospitals and their ambulatory sites.
“BILH is committed to delivering high quality and high value care in the communities we serve. As lead of our community division, Dean will drive our goal of providing 70 percent of our care in community settings,” said Peter Shorett, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, BILH. “We are excited to welcome Dean to BILH, where he will lead strategic initiatives, foster growth amongst our community hospitals and help us deliver on that important goal.”
As part of Blueprint 2030, BILH’s multi-year strategic roadmap for the future, BILH has committed to expanding access to care close to where patients live and work and to extending and strengthening its ambulatory and community care network. More than half of the care BILH delivers is already in community settings, and the system has established a goal for 70% of the care BILH provides to be delivered in the community by 2030.
“At the core of BILH’s mission is the drive to deliver extraordinary care, closer to where our patients are,” said Carucci. “I look forward to working with the talented local leaders and teams within our system to invest in and grow our network of community care.”
Carucci most recently served as Market President of HCA Healthcare – New England, which includes three hospitals, six emergency departments and more than 60 sites of care.
