Explore Current Grant Opportunities To Support Community Health
Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) partners with communities to improve health outcomes and advance equity across the region. As part of this commitment, we offer funding opportunities to support initiatives that align with BILH Community Benefits priorities and our Guiding Principles — accountability, community engagement, equity, and impact.
Opportunities may include grants, collaborative initiatives, and special funding programs that address community-identified health needs. Details are posted here when funding opportunities are available.
BILH Behavioral Health FY26 Community Grants RFP
Between 2026 and 2029, BILH is investing a total of $1.2 million for up to four (4) $300,000 grants to community organizations serving Medford and/or Waltham over a 3-year period.
Grant funding will be focused on creating and implementing a community-based Behavioral Health Navigator model to increase community residents’ connections to behavioral health services and supports and provide education to the broader community about mental health and substance use resources.

Proposals must be submitted by April 10, 2026 at 5:00 pm Eastern Time (ET).

BID Plymouth FY26 Community Grants RFP
Between 2026 and 2029, BID Plymouth is investing a total of $1,606,039.94 through its Community-Based Health Initiative (CHI) for its Determination of Need (DoN) through Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) to relocate and expand the hematology-oncology and infusion clinics to Cordage Park.
Applicant organizations must focus on upstream activities to address social determinants of health — conditions in which people are born, live, work, and play, in or across the Town of Plymouth. Of this investment, $803,019.97 will be allocated to address housing (1 grant to be awarded) and $803,019.97 will be allocated to address equitable access to care (up to 3 grants to be awarded), both through this competitive Request for Proposals (RFP).

BID Milton FY26 Community Grants RFP
Between 2026 and 2029, BID Milton Hospital (BID Milton) will invest a total of $2,263,935.82 through a Community-based Health Initiative (CHI) from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Determination of Need (DoN) to build a new multi-specialty ambulatory center in Quincy. As required by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MADPH).
Applicant organizations must focus on upstream activities to address social determinants of health — conditions in which people are born, live, work, and play in or across the City of Quincy. Of this investment, $1,584,755.07 will be allocated to address housing (1 grant to be awarded) and $679,180.75 will be allocated to address equitable access to care (up to 2 grants to be awarded). All grants will be awarded through this competitive Request for Proposals (RFP).
