At Beth Israel Lahey Health Primary Care – Dedham/Westwood Family Medicine, we offer comprehensive primary care services across your entire lifecycle. Our team of experienced providers are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the America Board of Family Medicine and take a team-based approach to your care.

Our Services

You should see your primary care provider once a year for your annual check-up. You may need additional visits if medical issues arise. We provide the following services:

Our Approach to Care

As a research-based practice, our multidisciplinary team of endocrinologists, family nurse practitioners, certified diabetes educators, registered nurses and registered dietitians adhere to the most up-to-date American Diabetes Association (ADA) Standards of Care.

Through our collaboration with the renowned Joslin Diabetes Center, we bring global expertise to our local community. This partnership ensures our patients have access to the latest breakthroughs in GLP-1 therapies, Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) pumps, and CGM technology.

We don’t just treat a condition; we care for the person, using evidence-based medicine to simplify your daily management and improve your quality of life.

Diabetes Care & Management

Managing diabetes is a lifelong journey, but you don't have to walk it alone. Whether you are recently diagnosed or looking for new ways to manage your health, our expert team provides the tools, education and clinical support you need to thrive.

  • Seamless referrals to specialists to manage and prevent diabetes-related complications
  • Expert guidance on using Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM), InPen and Insulin pumps to simplify your daily routine
  • Dexcom Pro, a powerful assessment and education tool that supports personalized diabetes management without requiring permanent CGM use
Education 

Empowerment starts with knowledge. Our certified diabetes educator, registered dietitians and nurses will cover:

  • The fundamentals: Understanding diabetes disease, nutrition and exercises
  • Living well: Goal setting and support for long-term adjustment
  • Hands-on training: Dedicated sessions for CGM optimization and foundations of insulin pump therapy

Specialty Care & Referrals

If you feel you need to see a specialist and have not discussed the referral with your primary care provider (PCP), please first call your PCP, as they may need to see you prior to referring you to the specialist.

When needed, your primary care provider works with other subspecialty providers at Beth Israel Lahey Health to ensure you have the care you need to feel your very best.

Lab Hours

Our laboratory is open during the following times for patient services:

  • Monday–Friday: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Closed for lunch: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
  • Closed on select holidays

No appointment needed — walk-ins are welcome.
