At Beth Israel Lahey Health Primary Care – Federal Street, we offer comprehensive primary care services across your entire lifecycle. Our team of experienced providers are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the America Board of Family Medicine and take a team-based approach to your care.
You should see your primary care provider once a year for your annual check-up. You may need additional visits if medical issues arise. We provide the following services:
If you feel you need to see a specialist and have not discussed the referral with your primary care provider (PCP), please first call your PCP, as they may need to see you prior to referring you to the specialist.
When needed, your primary care provider works with other subspecialty providers at Beth Israel Lahey Health to ensure you have the care you need to feel your very best.
Lahey International Travel Medicine helps ensure your health and safety while abroad. We offer vaccines, medications and prescriptions based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.
Appointments include a review of your medical history, country-by-country analysis of your itinerary, accommodations, anticipated activities, immunization records and current medications to create a customized treatment and prevention plan.
We provide prescriptions and vaccines for many common travel-related illnesses, including traveler’s diarrhea, malaria prevention, hepatitis, typhoid fever, yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis, polio, measles, mumps, rubella and rabies. In addition, we also provide the International Certificate of Vaccination as approved by the World Health Organization.
Travelers with specific medical needs, including those who are immunosuppressed, pregnant or planning to become pregnant and those with chronic illness, can ask questions and get advice about potential risks and prevention strategies. We also offer treatment guidelines for common traveler health issues, such as jet lag, insect and animal bites, motion sickness and altitude-related illness, rabies prevention and wound care.
Visits are available for individuals, couples, families and groups. We recommend scheduling your appointment at least four weeks prior to your trip when possible.
