Beth Israel Lahey Health Opens New Primary Care and Specialty Care Center in Beverly
New Facility Offers Broad Spectrum of Internal Medicine and Premier Specialty Care in a Single, Convenient Location
Beverly, MA – As part of its commitment to expanding access to extraordinary care in the community, Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) has opened Beth Israel Lahey Health Primary Care & Specialty Care – Beverly Medical Associates in Beverly. Staffed by health care providers who have served the local area for many years, the new site offers a broad range of primary care services, along with cardiology and nephrology specialty care, onsite laboratory and infusion services in a single, convenient location.
With the opening of this new primary and specialty care center, we are bringing together clinicians with a broad range of specialties to serve the Northshore area,” said Michael Rowan, Executive Vice President for Hospital and Ambulatory Services at BILH. “This new practice reflects our commitment to expanding access to comprehensive care in the community with an integrated team approach.”
The practice is accepting new patients and includes three primary care physicians who are well established in the Beverly community: Deborah Shih, MD; David Driscoll, DO; and Alyssa Handler, MD; as well as advanced practitioners Jennifer Vetter, PA-C; Nicole Leaver, NP; and Carolyn Havens, NP. In addition, nephrology services are provided by Jeffrey Rubel, MD, MPH; and Cynthia Sfeir, MD, and cardiology services are provided by Daniel Lombardi, MD.

Patients needing more complex care can be referred to Beverly Hospital or Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, also part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, where their medical information will be readily available to the treatment team thanks to an integrated medical record system.
“Having access to high-quality health care close to home is vitally important,” said Shih, the center’s medical director. “Making it more convenient to access services closer to where people live and work will help patients and the North Shore community be healthier.”
