Beth Israel Lahey Health Opens New Health Care Center in Quincy
New Facility Offers Urgent Care, Primary Care, Specialty Care and More in Single, Convenient Location
Quincy, MA – As part of its foundational mission to expand access to extraordinary care in the community, Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) today opened Beth Israel Lahey Health Care Center – Quincy at 100 Walter J. Hannon Parkway in Quincy. The new facility offers urgent care, primary care, specialty care and diagnostic imaging in a single, convenient location.
The center includes an advanced urgent care clinic staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Milton (BID Milton), Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Harvard Medical School. Open seven days a week, the clinic treats adults and children over the age of two with urgent but not life-threatening injuries or illnesses. A wide variety of common illnesses and injuries can be treated in an urgent care setting instead of a hospital’s emergency room, including ear and urinary tract infections, common colds, flu, sprains or strains, as well as cuts and deep bruises.
Patients needing more complex emergency care can be seamlessly transferred to BID Milton or BIDMC in Boston, where their medical information will be readily available to the treatment team thanks to an integrated medical record system.
"Providing access to high quality healthcare for our residents is a major priority,” said Mayor Thomas P. Koch. “To have the world-renown care offered by Beth Israel Lahey Health readily accessible in the heart of our downtown is a great step forward. I’m truly grateful for this new partnership and for all the hard work that helped make it a reality."
The 17,000 square foot facility also includes a new Beth Israel Lahey Health Primary Care practice, which will provide general medical care to children, adolescents and adults.
“Having access to high-quality health care is vitally important,” said Barbara Masser, MD, Director of Ambulatory Emergency Medicine at BIDMC, who oversees the clinical operations of the center. “By providing these services closer to home, Beth Israel Lahey Health Care Center – Quincy will help patients and the community of Quincy as a whole be healthier.”
“As more and more Quincy residents chose Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton for their health care needs, we are excited to partner with colleagues from across the Beth Israel Lahey Health system to expand access to high quality care in Quincy,” said Rich Fernandez, president of BID Milton. “We are also deeply appreciative to the city’s state and local leaders for supporting our efforts to bring these new health care services to Quincy.”
Beth Israel Lahey Health Care Center – Quincy is conveniently located next to public transportation, including the MBTA Red Line, Quincy Center Stop and MBTA bus lines 225 and 236. Urgent care appointments can be made online or by calling 617-615-4000. Primary care appointments can be made by calling 617-615-4100.
