About Sue Harris
As Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Beth Israel Lahey Health, Sue Harris directs the system's overall human resources strategy with a focus on building and advancing talent, culture and diversity, and inclusion initiatives. She also oversees employee relations, labor relations, health and wellness programs, total rewards, performance management, and workforce planning.
Sue has more than 20 years of experience in human resources. She previously served as Interim Chief Human Resources Officer and focused on developing and expanding programs dedicated to supporting our workforce and advancing the next generation of talent. From 2020 until 2022, she was Beth Israel Lahey Health's Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Total Rewards, and before that Vice President, Total Rewards, with responsibility for leading the organization's employee benefits, retirement, and compensation integration efforts. From 2017 to 2019, she was Lahey Health's Vice President, Total Rewards.
Before joining Lahey Health, Sue led Total Rewards integration efforts at CharterCare Health Partners in Rhode Island as St. Joseph's Health Services, Roger Williams Hospital, and Elmwood Extended Care formed CharterCare Health Partners. Previously, Sue served on the Total Rewards team at St. Joseph's Health Services and partnered with senior leadership to redesign the Total Rewards function.
Sue received her undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She also holds a certification in health leadership from Harvard Business School.
