About Manu Tandon

As Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Chief Information Officer, Manu Tandon leads the system’s robust information technology enterprise and advances clinical and business operations through digital innovation. He also leads Beth Israel Lahey Health's Health Technology Exploration Center, which is focused on building and shaping scalable technologies to transform the global health care landscape. 

Manu has more than 35 years of technology and management experience in the health care, government and consulting sectors. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and, before that, as the medical center’s Vice President and Deputy Chief Information Officer.  Earlier in his career, Manu held a number of leadership positions with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including Chief Information Officer for the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. 

Manu earned his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University; Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School; and Master in Business Administration from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.
