About Jamie Katz, JD

As Beth Israel Lahey Health’s General Counsel, Jamie Katz leads the system's integrated legal team, including functional areas such as regulatory matters, employment law and governance issues. In partnership with leaders from across the system, he and his team provide legal expertise that supports clinical care, research and teaching across Beth Israel Lahey Health. He also oversees the compliance and government affairs teams.

Jamie previously served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He has also served as Interim Chief Compliance Officer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, General Counsel of the Massachusetts Health Insurance Connector Authority, and Chief of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Public Charities Division.

Jamie is a member of the Boston Bar Association and has been named a "Leader in the Law" by the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. He received his undergraduate degree in in American history from Harvard College and his law degree from the University of Virginia Law School.
