About Al Campbell, RN, MBA, FACHE

As President of Winchester Hospital, Al Campbell leads the 229-bed facility and leading provider of comprehensive health care services in northwest suburban Boston offering a broad range of surgical specialties, including general, bariatric, urologic, thoracic, otolaryngology (ENT), vascular, and orthopedic surgery. Winchester Hospital also delivers care in other areas, including pediatrics, cardiology, pulmonary medicine, oncology, gastroenterology, rehabilitation, radiation oncology, pain management, obstetrics/gynecology and a Level IIB Special Care Nursery. Al joined Winchester Hospital in 2023.

Prior to joining Winchester Hospital, Al served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for BJC Christian Hospital and Northwest Healthcare, in North St. Louis County, Missouri. In this role, he led hospital operations, system integration, service line growth and fiscal management. He has also served in senior level roles including Vice President of Operations for the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Nexus Health in Washington, DC. Al has gained extensive experience in the acute and post-acute care, nursing and ambulatory arenas over his career.

Al holds his bachelor's degree from Norfolk State University and Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He is also a Fellow with the American College of Health Care Executives (FACHE).
