Bowdoin Street Health Center provides outstanding primary care, specialty care, and community programs to area residents. Since our founding by Dorchester residents in 1972, our focus and commitment is to maintain our tradition of working with residents to identify and meet their unique health needs. Our mission is to provide excellent and compassionate care to our patients and support the health of our entire community.
You should see your primary care provider once a year for your annual check-up. You may need additional visits if medical issues arise. Bowdoin Street Health Center provides the following primary care services:
If you feel you need to see a specialist and have not discussed the referral with your primary care provider (PCP), please first call your PCP, as they may need to see you prior to referring you to the specialist.
When needed, your primary care provider works with other subspecialty providers at Beth Israel Lahey Health to ensure you have the care you need to feel your very best.
The Wellness Center at Bowdoin Street Health Center offers free or low-cost health programs to improve the health of both our patients as well as community residents, including two well-equipped exercise rooms and a state-of-the art demonstration kitchen.
