About Hilary Jacobs, LICSW, LADC I
As President of Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services, Hilary Jacobs leads the largest network of mental health and substance use disorder services for adults and children in eastern Massachusetts. Treatment options include 253 behavioral health beds and a wide range of outpatient, inpatient, and residential care, including mental health clinics; addiction treatment; family services; outreach counseling; mobile crisis teams; and school-based programs for children and teens.
Hilary became President of Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services in 2019 and has extensive experience in behavioral healthcare financing and delivery, health policy analysis, opioid addiction services, implementation of evidence-based practices, and the use of performance data to drive decision-making. Under her leadership, H.A.R.T. House (Healing and Recovery Together), a family residential treatment program that serves pregnant and parenting women in recovery from substance use disorders, was named one of the top 10 addiction treatment centers in Massachusetts two years in a row.
Previously, Hilary served as President of Lahey Health Behavioral Services and, prior to that, as Vice President of Addiction Treatment for the organization. Before joining Lahey Health, she worked at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in various roles, including as Director of the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS). Earlier in her career, Hilary was the Director of Addiction Treatment Services at North Charles Institute for the Addictions.
Hilary received her undergraduate degree from Bates College and a Master of Social Work from Boston University Graduate School of Social Work.
