About Carl Francioli

Carl Francioli is Interim Chief Financial Officer for Beth Israel Lahey Health, leading all aspects of the system’s finance function and the implementation of strategic initiatives to meet the system's growth, sustainability and financial goals.

Carl has more than 30 years of healthcare finance leadership experience across a spectrum of hospital and ambulatory care services, consulting and accounting services. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Metro Boston Division and Chief Financial Officer of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.  He previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, an academic medical center in Baltimore, Maryland.

Carl received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland. He completed a Leadership Development Program at Johns Hopkins and an Executive Challenge Course at Gap International in Philadelphia. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) who is affiliated with a number of professional organizations, including as a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and American College of Healthcare Executives.
