About Ron O’Hanley
Ron O'Hanley is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of State Street. He previously served as State Street’s President and Chief Operating Officer, and before that, as President and Chief Executive Officer of State Street Investment Management.
Prior to joining to State Street in 2015, Mr. O’Hanley was President of Asset Management and Corporate Services for Fidelity Investments, where he was responsible for Fidelity’s asset management organizations, corporate functions, and enterprise technology. Previously, he was President and CEO of BNY Mellon Asset Management and Vice Chairman of BNY Mellon Corporation. Mr. O’Hanley started his career at McKinsey & Company, where he was a partner and founded McKinsey’s Investment Management practice and co-founded the firm’s Personal Financial Services practice.
In addition to serving on the Beth Israel Lahey Health Board of Trustees, Mr. O’Hanley also serves on the boards of Unum Corporation, ABL Space Systems, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Institute of International Finance, U.S.-Kuwait Business Council, Massachusetts Competitive Partnership, Syracuse University, US Naval War College Foundation, IYRS School of Technology and Trades, The Ireland Funds, FIFA World Cup Boston ‘26, and WBUR.
Mr. O’Hanley received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
