Robert VallettaRobert Valletta is a widely recognized thought leader for accounting and financial reporting matters affecting health organizations. Employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) for nearly 36 years, Mr. Valletta most recently served as US Health Services Sector Leader where he led all lines of service including assurance, tax and advisory with revenue approaching $1B.

Mr. Valletta served as a top national technical consultant for small, privately held corporations and complex, publicly held entities in the health care sector. Working with leading health care organizations in the country, his focus included the entire continuum, including hospitals, academic medical centers, managed care/payer organizations, physician group practices, physician management companies, senior living organizations and other ancillary health care services providers. While at PwC, he also served as US Provider Sector Leader and US Provider Assurance Leader, among other staff roles. Mr. Valletta retired from PwC in 2018 at the mandatory retirement age.

An accomplished author and co-author of numerous publications and white papers, Mr. Valletta serves as an independent Director of the Board of Trustees and member of the Audit Committee for NYU Langone Health. He is also a certified public accountant in Massachusetts; Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association; member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; member and former Chair of the Hospital Committee for the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants; and member, former President, and former board member for the New York and Massachusetts Chapters of Healthcare Financial Management Association. He also served as a member of the organization's National Principles and Practices Board.

Mr. Valletta received his undergraduate degree from Siena College and completed the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth College and Making Corporate Boards More Effective Program at Harvard Business School.
