About Betty Francisco, JD
Betty Francisco is a seasoned business executive, investor and community leader with more than 25 years of experience advising high-growth startups, nonprofits, life sciences and established enterprises in business strategy, legal compliance, risk management, development, operations and human resources. Ms. Francisco currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Boston Impact Initiative, a nonprofit impact investing fund that invests in entrepreneurs and impact fund managers advancing economic justice and community development. In this role, she spearheaded the organization’s successful launch of Boston Impact Initiative Fund II and certification as a Latina-led Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI).
Ms. Francisco previously served General Counsel at Compass Working Capital and before that as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Sports Club/LA and Reebok Sports Club/NY. Ms. Francisco co-founded Amplify Latinx, a non-profit dedicated to advancing Latino American prosperity and leadership representation in Massachusetts. In addition to serving on the Beth Israel Lahey Health Board of Trustees, she is also a board member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, The Boston Foundation, and Nellie Mae Education Foundation.
Ms. Francisco earned her bachelor’s degree from Bard College and her law degree and Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University.
